Kate
Hi! I’m Kate. I’m a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a genuine passion for working with children. I have been happily married to my husband, Zac, for 13 years and we have two boys; Wyatt, 12 and Jaxon, 8. To complete our family we also have a 13-year-old Golden Retriever, Levi and a 2-year-old Golden Doodle, Fisher! Prior to becoming a COTA, I worked as a Pre-K teacher for 10 years, where I enjoyed every moment directly impacting the academic and emotional growth of young children. It wasn’t until my family and I were involved in a roll-over vehicle accident in 2019, that our oldest son sustained life-threatening injuries requiring a number of abdominal and spinal surgeries. Throughout his recovery, we were introduced to the wonderful field of occupational therapy. It was in those moments; I fell in love with the profession and knew, occupational therapy was my true calling! I’m happy to report that, through all of this, Wyatt has fully recovered and living his best life!

I am very excited to be at Creative Hands where I have the pleasure of working with families and children! I am driven to provide the highest level of care through creative and playful interactions that will help children reach their goals and improve their overall success in daily occupations. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family in the outdoors. We enjoy life in, on, or around the water (e.g., boating, fishing, surfing, paddle-boarding, swimming, going to the beach, searching for shark teeth and shells, etc.). I also enjoy practicing yoga daily and loving on my puppies.
